At this year's New England Water Environment Association conference, Art Enderle, Chief Operator and Plant Foreman of Windsor Locks, CT2.1 MGD activated sludge water pollution control facility received the much coveted Plant Operator of the Year award.

Art started at the Windsor Locks facility in 1990 as an Operator II. He was in involved in process control, laboratory analysis, pump station operation and maintenance, plant maintenance, collection system maintenance and belt filter press operation. He went on become the Process Control operator, Chief Operator and now also Plant Foreman. He holds a Class 1 Water Treatment Plant Operator's License and a Class 2 Distribution System operator's license.

Art holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology and Management from Charter Oak State College, CT.
