A Fond Farewell

The CWPAA would like to say good-bye to Joe Watkins - Plainville WPCF. Joe is retiring on March 20, 1998. He had devoted many years to the wastewater field. We wish him the best of luck. He will be missed.

NEWEA's - "KOWSZ SCHOLARSHIP" - This scholarship is open to anyone in the wastewater field who needs money for education. The money can be used for training which is associated to the wastewater field. Examples: technical sessions, seminars, college, etc. Money available is up to $500. ANNOUNCEMENT!

THE 15TH ANNUAL CWPAA PRODUCT SHOW AT THE WTBY. SHERATON. WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 9,1998. The doors will open at 9:00 am and run till 3:00 pm. Coffee will be available in the morning. There is a FREE buffet lunch for all attendees (2 separate sittings - 11:30 am  to 12:30 pm), keg of beer (ballroom) will be available. In addition there will be 3 $50 cash drawings.

The cash drawings will be given out in the morning and afternoon. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!

DEP CORNER

DEP will be holding a training program in the area Biological Nitrogen Removal (BNR) for operators in June. Dates will be June 15+16, and June 17+18. Training will be held in different parts of the states. Locations will be in Trumbull CT and Windsor Locks CT Cost $30. 1.2 CEUs will be given. There will be 2 full days of training. More information will be in the next newsletter. Flyers for this training will be fond at the registration booth at the CWPAA Product Show April 9, 1 998.
