| Jackson, Miss. Renews and Expands O&M Contract with Severn Trent Services Fort Washington, Pa. October 17, 2002 The City of Jackson, Miss. City Council has voted unanimously in favor of renewing and expanding its Operations and Maintenance contract with Severn Trent Services. The new contract includes the operations and maintenance of three wastewater treatment plants and 92 pump stations. The contract also includes additional services for dewatering and an annual application of 11,000 dry tons of bio-solids. "We are pleased by the City Councils strong vote of confidence in our services and look forward to continuing to serve the citizens of Jackson," said Bob Maines, Regional Manager for Severn Trent. The vote was supported by numerous complimentary speeches from council members regarding Severn Trents performance during the history of the project. The three treatment facilities are permitted to a combined total of 125 million gallons per day. The first year of the contract is valued at $7.3M.
