Philadelphia Suburban Water Co., the primary subsidiary of Philadelphia Suburban Corp., said it has been qualified to participate in negotiations for the sale and/or lease of the City of Coatesville Authority's assets.

The water company wants to purchase the authority's water and wastewater systems, serving 8,000 water and 5,000 wastewater customers in Coatesville and nine other Chester County municipalities and five Lancaster County municipalities.
